The problem we saw

Milk was travelling further than it should.

By the time packaged milk reached most kitchens, it had passed through three or four hands and picked up additives to survive the journey. Small farmers, meanwhile, were paid a fraction of what their milk was worth.

How it moves

Udder to doorstep, in four steps.

4:00 AM — Collected

Farmers hand-milk and chill within minutes; our van does the rounds before sunrise.

5:30 AM — Tested

Every batch is checked for purity, fat content and freshness before it's accepted.

6:00 AM — Prepared

Milk is packed; dahi is set overnight; ghee is slow-churned in small batches.

7:00 AM — Delivered

Cold-chain vans complete every route before most kitchens have boiled their first cup.
